60 years of innovation in shot blast technologies: the long history of OMSG

On the occasion of the 60 years of activity of OMSG Group, IPCM - Protective Coatings Magazine published an article entitled "60 years of innovation in shot blast technologies: the long history of OMSG" , which tells the story of the company, starting from its foundation in 1961 in the small village of San Giorgio su Legnano (Milan).

An overview of the history of our company that, over the years, has positioned itself, among the leading manufacturers in Europe in the market of shot blasting machines, shot-peening machines and machine systems, used in many sectors such as foundries, automotive, forges, agricultural and earth moving machines, steel construction in preparation to painting, and so on.
CEO of Company, Mr. Enzo Dell’Orto told the magazine about the milestones in the Company's growth:

  • the acquisition in 2017 of the famous brand Carlo Banfi (most important Italian competitor)
  • OMSG designs and manufacture over 100 shot blast machines/year and exports 75% of its production to many countries around the world
  • The Italian headquarters and the two branches company in France and Germany.
  • The digitization process and the ability to carry out remote testing or after-sales assistance services using web-based tools.
  • The excellence in the production of roller conveyor shot blast machines such as LAUCO and tunnel machines such as TUNNELBLAST
  • 8.000 customers, including both the brands of the Group, OMSG and Carlo Banfi, scattered in almost 95 Countries in the world
